In the holiday's I went down to Palmerston North to see me nana and ounce . We left at 2.30 and got there around night time like 6.30 or 7 somethink like that when we got down there I was tied but happy at the same time to see my other family . We stayed for 4 days and left in the afternoon again when we got there we got out had a stretch than unpacked the car I came with my dad and mum,Karome my brother and little brother when we finished unpacking the car we went to mc Donald's with all my family and my nana we brought us a drink and a burger than we had a talk how have we been and staff like that .Than we went back to my nanas house my brother and my uncle they were playing with some Lego blocks and I was making these flower things with my nana it felt different because I wasn't youse to being in a different place I was youse to Opunake but it was fun being in a different place I liked it to because there was alot of cars and traffic and different staff too .

Screen printing arliyah
Screen printing/Friday 31st October 2014 .
1. Finally it was time to start screen printing.We looked at some art we came up with this cool idea.The artist's name was called Sheyne Tuffery. His art was like a over lapping background art and lot's of textures and different kinds of colours .
2. Next we made our own art like that. We had to cut out shapes and cars,animals stuff like that.You have to use quite a lot of paper and you can't just cut straight through.You have to fold it then cut it out .
3. After we got to pick our own piece of coloured paper. We then put our shape that you have cut out on top of the coloured paper. Than put the screen printer board over top of it to get the paint in the gapes. You get someone to hold down the board than you can pick what colour you won't to go on the pitcher I picked a dark blue to make it stand out more.
4. At last it was time to rub the paint in I only went quite slow because if you went fast it won't come out right.I pulled it of gently and took my art on to the news paper when I was rubbing the paint in it felt really squishy and smooth,plompy. That was my favourite thing out of screen printing .
5. When you have put your art onto the news paper. You grab a end of a paint brush and than you can start scratching in a pattern and it really stands out sometimes when your doing your scratching the colours that come out sometimes change colour like blue or brown or some other colour .
6. I felt when I did it and finished. I was happy,relieved that it came out right it was a lot of fun I like doing screen printing it's really fun and cool and it's really cool painting over it and cutting out or sought's of different shapes like triangles and squires and rectangles it is really fun.
7. Altogether you do four layors. But you have to wait a whole day to let it dry your art so you will have to have a lot of patients.If you mucked up and some of your paint has smudged you could just paint over it or do another layor .
8. The mess we made. We had to go and wash our hands and tidy up on some of my shapes I did triangles and a light blue colour for my second layor screen printing is a lot of mess and fun and creative and can get messy for screen printing you have to be really careful nothing goes wrong .
9. At the end when I finished. All my layors were completed I injoyed doing screen printing my favourite part was rubbing the paint into the pitcher.

Dear, Cassidy
How are you? What's it like in Texas ? it's good in Las Vegas there's lots of lights we stayed in a Rich flash hotel called Bellagio it's so cool. It will be good to see you in a couple of weeks it must be different to be in a different place in Las Vegas there's a lot of traffic take lots of pitches for me so I can see when I get back home.Is Texas like a farmer place and cowboys stuff like that in Los Vegas it's really towny and lots of places to go to like wet and wild and the tornado it looks and is so cool,we'll I'll see you when you get back from your holiday.

Hi my name is Arliyah Rewa-Berrett I go to Opunake primary school I am 9 years old .Last Saturday it was Matariki in room 11 we have been learning about Matariki and Maori kites down in Taranaki we call Matariki Puanga we can't see Matariki because the mountain is blocking it . My favourite colour is turquoise I've been to Opunake primary school for 4 years and my birthday is on September 6th and this year I am 10 .and last week of the school was our open day it went for three days wednesday thursday and friday our whole class went threw at the end and had a look I liked open day because all of the parents got to come threw and have a look what we have been doing and learning in class my favourite bit in open day would be my class about matariki and our art and m'ss Ogles class work but I liked everybodys I really like opunake primary school it's really fun and injoyable .
